Sta je Ramazan, a sta Bajram? (What is Ramadan and what is Eid?)

Sta je Ramazan?

Ramazan je mesec posta u islamu.

 Tokom Ramazana:

- kraj posta

- vreme slavlja, porodice i darivanja

- jede se svečana hrana (često slatkiši, baklava, kolači)

- ljudi se posećuju i čestitaju jedni drugima.

Ukratko:

- Ramazan = period posta i duhovnosti

- Bajram = slavlje nakon posta

Zamisli kao:

- Ramazan = priprema i disciplina

- Bajram = nagrada i radost

What is Ramadan?

Ramadan is the month of fasting in Islam.

During Ramadan:

- fast from dawn to sunset

- do not eat, do not drink and avoid bad habits

- the focus is on spirituality, patience and good deeds.

It is a special, sacred period that lasts about 29–30 days.

What is Eid?

Eid al-Fitr is a holiday that comes AFTER Ramadan.

It is:

- the end of the post

- a time of celebration, family and giving

- festive food is eaten (often sweets, baklava, cakes)

- people visit and congratulate each other.

In short:

- Ramadan = a period of fasting and spirituality

- Eid = celebration after fasting

Think of it like:

- Ramadan = preparation and discipline

- Eid = reward and joy
