Makarone sa kackavaljem (Mac and cheese)

Sastojci (za 4 porcije): 200 g makarona (ili šupljih testenina po izboru), besamel sos sa dve vrste sira, malo prezli za posipanje (opciono).

Priprema:

1. U velikom loncu prokuvajte posoljenu vodu i skuvajte makarone do pola – treba da budu al dente. Procedite i ostavite sa strane.

2. Pripremite besamel sos sa dve vrste sira.

3. U sos dodajte skuvane makarone i pažljivo promešajte da se sve lepo poveže.

4. Opcionalno.

Prebacite makarone sa kackavaljem u vatrostalnu posudu, pospite prezlama i malo sira po vrhu, i pecite u prethodno zagrejanoj rerni na 200°C 15–20 minuta dok vrh ne postane zlatno-smeđi i hrskav.

Saveti i varijacije:

- Možete dodati dimljeni sir za intenzivniji ukus.

- Za kremastiju verziju, deo mleka zamenite pavlakom za kuvanje.

- Dodavanje malo senfa ili paprike u prahu pojačava ukus i aromu sira.

- Za proteinsku verziju, dodajte i malo kuvane piletine ili dimljene ili kuvane curetine.


Ingredients (for 4 servings): 200 g of macaroni (or hollow pasta of your choice), bechamel sauce with two types of cheese, a little breadcrumbs for sprinkling (optional).

Preparation:

1. Boil salted water in a large pot and cook the macaroni until half - they should be al dente. Strain and set aside.

2. Prepare a béchamel sauce with two types of cheese.

3. Add the cooked macaroni to the sauce and mix carefully to combine everything well.

4. Optional.

Transfer the macaroni and cheese into an ovenproof dish, sprinkle breadcrumbs and a little cheese on top, and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for 15-20 minutes until the top becomes golden-brown and crispy.

Tips and variations:

- You can add smoked cheese for a more intense taste.

- For a creamier version, replace part of the milk with cooking cream.

- Adding a little mustard or paprika powder enhances the taste and aroma of the cheese.

- For a protein version, add some boiled chicken or smoked or cooked turkey.
