Kako da sterilizuješ staklene boce i čuvaš sok? (How do you sterilize glass bottles and store juice?)

1) Sterilizacija boca

Opcija A (najjednostavnija)

- Operi boce i čepove u toploj vodi sa deterdžentom.

- Isperi dobro.

Opcija B (brza)

- Stavi boce i čepove u šerpu sa vodom.

- Kuvaj 10 minuta.

- kiselkast miris

- penu

- mehuranje

How to sterilize and store juice for longer, without preservatives, and make it safe for children.

1) Sterilization of bottles

Option A (the simplest)

- Wash bottles and caps in warm water with detergent.

- Rinse well.

- Put the bottles in the oven at 100-120°C for 10-15 minutes.

- Take them out with clean forceps or gloves (to remain sterile).

Option B (fast)

- Put the bottles and caps in the pot with water.

- Cook for 10 minutes.

- Take it out and let it dry on a clean cloth.

2) Sterilization of juice (to make it last longer)

It is best to do hot charging:

- Heat the juice to 80–90°C (it does not have to boil).

- Pour hot juice into warm bottles (so they don't break).

- Close the cap immediately.

3) "Cutting" the air (to create a vacuum)

- After closing the bottle, turn it upside down for 5 minutes.

- Then return it to its normal position and let it cool.

4) Storage

If it is properly sterilized and vacuum-sealed:

- in the refrigerator it can last for 10–14 days

- at room temperature (in the pantry) for up to 1–2 weeks

But only if it is properly vacuum-sealed and unopened.

If you want it to last longer than that:

- freezing is the best option (up to 3 months).

How do you know if the juice is still good?

If you notice:

- a sour smell

- foam

- bubbling

- an unusual color

This means that the juice is probably spoiled and should not be used.
