Ovsene mekinje se mogu jesti i sirove i kuvane. Svakako se moraju potopiti na 8 sati ili preko noci. Mogu se potapati vodom, mlekom i jogurtom.
Ja sam ih prvi put potopila u vodu na 4 sata, pa sam iscedila od vode i prelila jogurtom jos 4 sata. Prvi put sam sipala oko 1 L jogurta na pola kantice od 700 g (kisele pavlake). Bilo je bas retko. Drugi put sam stavila manje, pa je bilo bas gusto. Tako da sam pre svakog obroka dodavala jos jogurta.
Sa mlekom nisam probala jer ne pijem mleko. Mada mozete koristiti kravlje mleko, kozije mleko ili neko biljno - bademovo, ovseno, sojino ili kokosovo mleko.
Sirove ovsene mekinje sa jogurtom
Sastojci: 60g ovsenih mekinja, 150-200 ml jogurta.
Priprema:
0. Potopiti ovsene mekinje u vodu ili jogurt na 8 sati.

Zavisno koju gustinu zelite pa tako dodajte jogurt.
Kako skuvati ovsene mekinje?

1. Ocediti ovsene mekinje od vode.
2. U serpu sipati novu vodu, ovsene mekinje i kuvati na srednjoj temperaturi (4), 3 do 5 minuta stalno mesajuci.
Ako zelite gusce dodati manje vode, ako zelite redje dodati vise vode.
Pre sipanja vode u ovsene mekinje da se kuvaju mozete ih staviti u suvu serpu i proprziti 30 do 60 sekundi, stalno mesajuci. Posle dodaje vodu i kuvajte po uputstvu.
3. Nakon kuvanja mozete ih preliti mlekom ili jogurtom.
4. Mozete zasladiti medom, agava sirupom ili posuti cimetom, kakaoom u prahu ili dodati suvo voce i orasaste plodove.
Savet: 2 kasike dnevno, a maksimum 3 u toku 3 meseca. Napraviti pauzu mesec dana.
