- Cokoladni sirup
- Pomorandžin kolutić*
Gde ide kolutić pomorandže?
Najbolje opcije:
- Na ivicu šolje
- Napravi mali rez do sredine kolutića
- Možeš dodati i kockicu čokolade pored
Ingredients (for 2 people): 2 cups (about 60 ml per cup) of espresso or very strong coffee, 200 ml of milk (100 ml per cup) cow's or nut/plant milk, a pinch of cocoa powder (optional), a pinch of cinnamon powder or ¼ teaspoon of vanilla extract, sugar to taste (if using).
Preparation:
1. If you have an espresso machine, make 2 cups of espresso (about 60 ml per cup).
If you don't have one, you can use strong Turkish or filter coffee (about 1 teaspoon of coffee per cup). Strain Turkish coffee.
2. Add vanilla extract (if using) to the cold milk. Heat the milk in a saucepan, but do not let it boil.
3. Beat the milk with a milk beater until you get a thick and creamy foam.
4. Pour the espresso into the cup.
5. Carefully pour the heated milk over the espresso.
6. Put the milk foam on top, in the shape of a heart or a spiral, if desired.
7. Sprinkle a pinch of cocoa or cinnamon over the foam.
Cinnamon powder:
You can only sprinkle the foam on top, not in the milk, for a milder taste
Cocoa powder:
- Sprinkle on the foam
- (do not mix with cinnamon if you want a purer taste)
Mini taste guide:
- Romantic & gentle → vanilla + a little cocoa
- Warm and wintery → only cinnamon
- Cafe-bar style → no spices in the milk, only cocoa on top
For Valentine decoration you can use:
- Chocolate syrup
- Orange crescent*
Where does the orange crescent go?
Best options:
- On the edge of the cup
- Make a small cut to the middle of the crescent
- Lean it on the edge of the glass (like a cocktail)
- On a saucer next to a cup
- You can also add a cube of chocolate next to it
Where doesn't it go?
- It is not soaked in coffee
- Do not put in foam (it is heavy and sinks)
How to look elegant?
- A thin ring or crescent
- If desired, sprinkle with cinnamon or cocoa powder
- You can add a small mint leaf next to the orange (on the plate)
Decoration rule:
- In a cup → foam, cocoa, syrup, mint
- Out of the cup → orange, strawberry, chocolate
Tip:
For a creamier cappuccino, use milk with a higher percentage of fat or soy/oat milk, which foams better.
