Vanilla crumbs (Vanila mrvice)

Crunchy crumbs with a mild vanilla flavor, ideal for sprinkling desserts, ice creams, creams or adding texture to cakes.


Preparation time: 30 minutes.

Ingredients:
  • 130 g of plain flour
  • 65 g cold unsalted butter (cut into cubes)
  • 50 g of sugar
  • 25 g of vanilla sugar

Preparation:
1. Preheat the oven to 170 °C (338 °F).
2. Mix flour, sugar and vanilla sugar in a bowl.
3. Add the cold butter and rub with your fingers until you get fine crumbs, 3 to 5 minutes.
4. Spread the crumbs in a thin layer on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
5. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until lightly browned.
6. Leave for 20-30 minutes to cool completely and become crispy.
7. If necessary, further grind larger crumbs.
