Kolac od banana sa spelta brasnom (Banana cake with spelt flour)

Sastojci: 18 kasika spelta brasna, 5 jaja, 75g margarina, 5 kasika dzema, 4 banana (manje), 1 kasicica mlevenog cimeta, prstohvat mlevenog karanfilica, oko 80ml mlake vode.


1) Umutiti jaja mikserom ili viljuskom. Otopiti margarin i ostaviti da se ohladi. 

2) Dodati brasno i promesati kasikom.

3) Dodati margarin i promesati.

4) Dodati dzem i promesati.

5) Dodati banane i promesati gnjececi poneke banane viljuskom o zidove cinije. 

6) Dodati cimet i karanfilic i promesati.

7) Dodati prvo 50ml vode i promesati. Ako je potrebno dodati i ostatak vode. Smesa treba da bude malo retka.

8) Pleh namazati margarinom i posuti sa malo brasno. Sipati smesu i peci u prethodno zagrejanoj rerni na 180 C oko 20 minuta. Pojacati na 200 C i peci jos 10-tak minuta. Proveriti cackalicom ako nije peceno vratiti na jos 5 minuta.

9) Izvaditi iz rerne i ostaviti da se ohladi. Seci na zeljene oblike.

Ingredients: 17.5 tablespoons of spelt flour, 5 eggs (smaller), 75g of margarine, 5 teaspoons of jam, 4 bananas (smaller), 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, a pinch of ground cloves, about 80ml of lukewarm water.


1) Whisk the eggs with a mixer or fork. Melt the margarine and leave to cool.

2) Add flour and stir with a spoon.

3) Add margarine and stir.

4) Add jam and stir.

5) Add the bananas and stir by kneading some bananas with a fork against the walls of the bowl.

6) Add cinnamon and cloves and stir.

7) First add 50ml of water and stir. If necessary, add the rest of the water. The mixture should be a little runny.

8) Spread margarine on the baking tray and sprinkle with a little flour. Pour the mixture and bake in a preheated oven at 180 C for about 20 minutes. Increase to 200 C and bake for another 10 minutes. Check with a toothpick if it is not baked and return it for another 5 minutes.

9) Remove from oven and allow to cool. Cut into desired shapes.

I don't know if this is the result of high (strong) electricity or and stove (oven). I baked cake on 125 C for 15 minutes and I knew that cake wasn't baked even if it was dark on top, so decreased to 75 C for another 15 minutes. The moment I stepped in the kitchen it was smelling like I need to call a fire department :D I took it out and immediately took off the top; than I placed some in my bowl to cool down, thinking is it baked. When cooled I tried it. Yum. Sweet enough (for me), baked enough, soft with bananas stretching through my mouth. This is my first sweet cake with spelt flour. Yum.
