Kako izabrati jogurt sa živim kulturama? (How to choose yogurt with live cultures?)

1. Proveri deklaraciju

A) Traži oznake kao što su „sa živim kulturama“, „active cultures“, „probiotics“ ili „sadrzi zive i aktivne kulture”.

B) Na listi sastojaka mora da piše da sadrži bakterije kao što su:

- Lactobacillus bulgaricus

- Streptococcus thermophilus

- eventualno Lactobacillus acidophilus ili Bifidobacterium

2. Izbegavaj aromatizovane i zaslađene jogurte

- Jogurt sa dodanim voćem, aromama ili šećerom može da ometa rad bakterija, pa domaći jogurt neće biti isti.

- Najbolje je koristiti obični prirodni jogurt.

3. Pogledaj datum i pakovanje

- Što je svežiji, to su bakterije aktivnije i verovatnije će uspeti pravljenje jogurta.

- Manje pakovanje je bolje, jer ćeš koristiti manju količinu startera.

4. Punomasni ili sa smanjenim procentom masti?

Punomasni jogurt daje kremastiji i gušći grčki jogurt.

Sa 2% ili 0% masti može da se napravi, ali će biti ređi i manje kremast.

5. Kupuj jogurt sa proverenim brendom

- Poznati i provereni brendovi često označavaju tačno koje bakterije sadrže.

- Lokalni domaći jogurti često imaju odlične aktivne kulture, ali proveri deklaraciju.

1. Check the declaration

A) Look for labels such as "with live cultures", "active cultures", "probiotics" or "contains live and active cultures".

B) The list of ingredients must say that it contains bacteria such as:

- Lactobacillus bulgaricus

- Streptococcus thermophilus

- possibly Lactobacillus acidophilus or Bifidobacterium

2. Avoid flavored and sweetened yogurts

- Yogurt with added fruit, flavors or sugar can interfere with the work of bacteria, so homemade yogurt will not be the same.

- It is best to use ordinary (plain) natural yogurt.

3. Look at the date and packaging

- The fresher it is, the more active the bacteria are and the more likely it is that yogurt will succeed.

- A smaller package is better, because you will use a smaller amount of starter.

4. Full-fat or with a reduced percentage of fat?

Full-fat yogurt gives creamier and thicker Greek yogurt.

It can be made with 2% or 0% fat, but it will be thinner and less creamy.

5. Buy yogurt with a proven brand

- Well-known and proven brands often indicate exactly which bacteria they contain.

- Local homemade yogurts often have excellent active cultures, but check the declaration.
