Sastojci: 12 kukuruznih tortilja, 2–3 kašike neutralnog biljnog ulja (suncokretovo, ulje od uljane repice, kikiriki ulje ili rafinisano avokadovo ulje), so po ukusu, prstohvat čilija u prahu (opciono), prstohvat dimljene paprike u prahu (opciono), beli luk u prahu (opciono).
Priprema:
1. Zagrej rernu na 200 °C (392 F) (gornje/ donje pečenje).
2. Tortilje iseci na trouglove (kao pice).
3. U velikoj činiji pomešaj trouglove sa uljem, pa ih dobro promešaj da se ravnomerno oblože.
4. Rasporedi ih u jednom sloju na pleh obložen papirom za pečenje.
5. Pospite so i po želji začine: čili, dimljena paprika, beli luk u prahu.
6. Peći 8–12 minuta, dok ne postanu zlatni i hrskavi.
7. Posle 6–7 minuta proveri i okreni ih ako je potrebno, da se ravnomerno ispeku.
8. Izvadi iz rerne i ostavi da se ohlade 5 minuta (tada postaju još hrskaviji).
Napomena:
- Ako želiš manje masno, smanji ulje na 1 kašiku i dobro ih poprskaj prskalicom za ulje.
- Ako želiš deblji čips, seci tortilje na veće komade i peći malo duže.
Kukuruzni tortilja cips poslužiti uz:
1. Klasičnu salsu
2. Gvakamole
3. Salsa od paradajza (piko de galo)
4. Humus ili začinjen hummus
5. Crni pasulj sos za umakanje
6. Cevice
8. Burito cinija (čips kao dodatak za hrskavost)
9. Kisela pavlaka sa začinima
10. Caciki sos
11. Elote sos za umakanje
12. Slatko-kisela salsa od manga ili slatko-kisela salsa od ananasa
13. Kremasti sos za umakanje od feta sira i jogurta
Ingredients: 12 corn tortillas, 2-3 tablespoons of neutral vegetable oil (sunflower oil, canola oil, peanut oil or refined avocado oil), salt to taste, a pinch of chili powder (optional), a pinch of smoked paprika powder (optional), garlic powder (optional).
Preparation:
1. Preheat the oven to 200 °C (392 F) (top/bottom baking).
2. Cut the tortillas into triangles (like pizza).
3. In a large bowl, mix the triangles with oil, then mix them well so that they are evenly coated.
4. Arrange them in one layer on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
5. Sprinkle salt and optional spices: chili, smoked paprika, garlic powder.
6. Bake for 8–12 minutes, until golden and crispy.
7. After 6–7 minutes, check and turn them if necessary, so they cook evenly.
8. Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes (they will become even crispier).
Note:
- If want less fat, reduce the oil to 1 tablespoon and spray them well with an oil sprayer.
- If you want thicker chips, cut the tortillas into larger pieces and bake a little longer.
Serve corn tortilla chips with:
1. Classic salsa
2. Guacamole
4. Hummus or spicy hummus
5. Black bean dip
6. Ceviche
8. Burrito bowl (chips for extra crunch)
9. Sour cream with spices
10. Tzatziki sauce
11. Elote dip
12. Sweet and sour mango salsa or sweet and sour pineapple salsa
13. Creamy feta cheese and yogurt dip sauce
