Description
Carob and cinnamon tea is a warm, naturally sweet beverage with a mild taste, without caffeine, suitable for everyday use. Carob gives the tea a natural sweetness and fullness, while cinnamon adds warmth, aroma and metabolic support. This combination is especially appreciated in periods of cold weather, with a sensitive digestive system and as a substitute for sweetened drinks.
Who is tea with carob and cinnamon good for?
Tea with carob and cinnamon is good for the following groups of people:
1. For people with a sensitive stomach and digestive problems
Carob soothes the mucous membrane of the stomach and intestines, helps with flatulence, mild diarrhea and the feeling of heaviness after a meal. It does not irritate the stomach and does not contain caffeine.
2. For people with insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes
Cinnamon contributes to better insulin sensitivity, and carob has a low glycemic index and natural sweetness, so it can help reduce the need for additional sugar.
3. For children and the elderly
It has a mild taste, no stimulants, is easily digested and is suitable for children (in smaller quantities and with very little cinnamon), as well as for elderly people with slower digestion.
4. For people who have problems with bloating and gas
The combination of carob and cinnamon helps improve peristalsis and reduce intestinal fermentation.
5. For people who want natural warming of the body
Cinnamon has a warming effect and improves circulation, which is useful in colder periods or when the hands and feet feel cold.
6. For evening consumption and relaxation
Since it does not contain caffeine, the tea is suitable for the evening and can contribute to a feeling of calmness and comfort before bed.
7. For people who avoid caffeine and artificial sweeteners
It is naturally sweet thanks to carob and does not require additional sugar.
Notes 2:
- People who have medication to regulate blood sugar or liver problems should use cinnamon in moderate amounts.
When to drink tea with carob and cinnamon?
Tea with carob and cinnamon can be drunk at different times of the day, depending on the goal:
1. In the morning
It can be drunk in the morning, 20-30 minutes after breakfast. It helps digestion and gently warms the body, without a sudden spike in blood sugar. It is not recommended on a completely empty stomach in very sensitive people because of the cinnamon.
2. After the meal
It is ideal 30-60 minutes after lunch or dinner. Facilitates digestion, reduces flatulence and the feeling of heaviness in the stomach.
3. In the evening
Very suitable for the evening, 1-2 hours before going to bed. It does not contain caffeine, has a calming effect and can replace a sweet dessert drink.
4. During cold days
It is recommended to drink it warm, in the afternoon or evening, in order to warm the body and improve circulation.
5. When regulating blood sugar
It is best to drink it after a meal, because cinnamon contributes to a more stable glucose level.
How often do you drink this tea?
- 1 cup a day is enough for daily use.
- Up to 2 cups a day can be drunk occasionally, with a moderate amount of cinnamon.
Note 3:
If you have a sensitive stomach, reduce the amount of cinnamon and avoid drinking tea on an empty stomach.
For diabetes therapy – drink a weaker version and not every day.
