Sastojci (za 30–35 štapića): 2 žumanca, 180 g kisele pavlake, 250 g neslanog putera (omekšalog), 500 g integralnog pšeničnog brašna, 10 g praška za pecivo, ½ kašičice dimljene paprike u prahu, ¼ kašičice belog luka u prahu, ½ kašičice suvog origana ili timijana, ½ kašičice soli, za premaz i posipanje - 1 celo jaje, susam, kim ili mak (opciono).
Priprema:
1. U velikoj činiji pomešaj integralno brašno, prašak za pecivo, dimljenu papriku, beli luk u prahu i origano ili timijan.
2. U drugoj činiji sjedini žumanca, pavlaku, puter i so.
3. Dodaj suve sastojke u mokre i umesi glatko testo.
4. Razvaljaj na 1 cm debljine i nozem iseci štapiće.
5. Premaži umućenim jajetom i pospi semenkama po izboru.
6. Peći u prethodno zagrejanoj rerni na 200 °C oko 18–20 minuta dok porumene.
Ingredients (for 30–35 sticks): 2 egg yolks, 180 g of sour cream, 250 g of unsalted butter (softened), 500 g of whole wheat flour, 10 g of baking powder, ½ teaspoon of smoked paprika powder, ¼ teaspoon of garlic powder, ½ teaspoon of dried oregano or thyme, ½ teaspoon of salt, for coating and sprinkling - 1 whole egg, sesame seeds, cumin or poppy seeds (optional).
Preparation:
1. In a large bowl, mix whole wheat flour, baking powder, smoked paprika, garlic powder and oregano or thyme.
2. In another bowl, combine egg yolks, sour cream, butter and salt.
3. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and knead a smooth dough.
4. Roll out to 1 cm (0.4 inches) thick and cut sticks with a knife.
5. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with seeds of your choice.
6. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 18-20 minutes until golden brown.
