Creamy and refreshing buttermilk sauce with fresh parsley, lemon and, if desired, chives. It has a mild taste and is excellent as a sauce or dressing for various children's meals.

Ingredients:
- 200 ml buttermilk (plain, unsweetened, without additives) or liquid yogurt
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (finely chopped)
- 1 teaspoon of lemon juice
- a little grated lemon peel (optional)
- 1 teaspoon of fresh chives (optional) finely chopped
- a small pinch of salt
Preparation:
1. Pour the buttermilk into a bowl.
2. Add finely chopped parsley and, if desired, chives.
3. Add lemon juice and a small pinch of salt.
4. If you use the peel, grate only the thin yellow layer of the peel and add it to the buttermilk
5. Mix everything well with a spoon or wire until the ingredients are evenly combined.
6. Cover the buttermilk sauce and leave it in the fridge for 15-20 minutes to let the flavors combine.
7. Mix the sauce once more before serving.
Note:
For children for whom lemons are too sour, you can completely omit the lemon juice.
Storage and shelf life
- Store in a well-closed container in the refrigerator, at a temperature of up to 4 °C.
- Best used within 1-2 days.
- Before serving, check the smell, appearance and taste.
- If the sauce has been out of the fridge for more than 2 hours, do not use it.
Use of buttermilk sauce for children:
- Serve with roasted vegetables or cooked vegetables.
- Use it as a sauce with cooked potatoes, sweet potato puree or baked potatoes.
- Serve with chicken meat, meatballs or chicken sticks.
- Use as a salad dressing.
- Serve with tortillas, sandwiches or savory pancakes.
- Use as a dipping sauce for carrot sticks, celery or
- other vegetables.
- It can be used as a light dressing for children's bowls with vegetables, meat and side dishes.

Sastojci:
- 200 ml jogurta (običnog, nezasladjenog, bez dodataka)
- 1 kašika svežeg lista peršuna (sitno iseckanog)
- 1 kašičica soka od limuna
- malo narendane kore limuna (opciono)
- 1 kašičica svežeg vlasca (opciono) sitno seckanog

Priprema:
1. Jogurt sipati u činiju.
2. Dodati sitno seckan peršun i, po želji, vlasac.
3. Dodati sok od limuna i mali prstohvat soli.
4. Ako koristiš koru od, narendati samo tanki žuti sloj kore i dodati u jogurt.
5. Sve dobro promešati kašikom ili žicom dok se sastojci ravnomerno ne sjedine.
6. Pokriti sos od jogurta i ostaviti u frižideru 15–20 minuta da se ukusi sjedine.
7. Pre serviranja sos još jednom promešati.
Napomena:
Za decu kojoj je limun previše kiseo, sok od limuna možeš potpuno izostaviti.
Čuvanje i rok trajanja
- Čuvati u dobro zatvorenoj posudi u frižideru, na temperaturi do 4 °C.
- Najbolje je potrošiti u roku od 1–2 dana.
- Pre serviranja proveriti miris, izgled i ukus.
- Ako je sos stajao van frižidera duže od 2 sata, nemojte ga koristiti.
Upotreba sosa od jogurta za decu:
- Poslužiti uz peceno povrce ili kuvano povrce.
- Koristiti kao sos uz kuvani krompir, pire od batata ili peceni krompir.
- Poslužiti uz pilece meso, cufte ili pileće štapiće.
- Koristiti kao preliv za salatu.
- Poslužiti uz tortilje, sendvice ili slane palacinke.
- Koristiti kao sos za umakanje štapića od šargarepe, celera ili
- drugog povrća.
- Može se koristiti kao lagani preliv za dečje činije sa povrćem, mesom i prilogom.
