Med od cvetova maslacka (Honey from dandelion flowers)

Sastojci: 300 cvetova maslacka,  1 L vode, 1 kg secer monk voca (ili smedjeg secera ili kokosovog secera), 2 veca limuna ili 3 manja, za pranje limuna, jabukovo sirce ili soda bikarbona.

Priprema:

1. Limun staviti u vanglu, sipati vodu i dodati 2 kasike sirceta. Ostaviti da stoji pola sata pa isprati limunove.

Ili u vanglu sipati 1 kasicicu sode bikarbone. Pokriti tanjirom i ostaviti pola sata. Prosuti vodu, sipati novu i ostaviti da stoji jos 15 minuta. Zatim isprati limunove.

Limunove iseci na kolutove pa na manje kriske.

2. Oprati i sterilisati tegle.


3. Cvetove maslacka oprati pod tekucom vodom. 

4. Staviti cediljku u serpu i sipati cvetove maslacka. Rukom ili kasikom pritisnuti cvetove da se iscede od vode.

5. Cvetove maslacka staviti u serpu, preliti vodom, poklopiti ostaviti da stoji 8h ili preko noci, na sobnoj temperaturi.

6. Procediti kroz cediljku.

7. U serpu staviti cediljku, u cediljku stavite gazu i procedite jos jednom.

8. Serpu sa sokom od cvetova maslacka zagrevati na srednjoj temperaturi (4). Dodati secer i kuvati povremeno mesajuci, 1 sat.

9. Dodati limunove i kuvati jos 1 sat, povremeno mesajuci.

10. Kasikom pokupiti gusto nakupljenu penu i baciti.

11. Izvaditì kriske limunova.

12. Sipati med u tegle.

13. Kad se med ohladi bice gusci.

14. Cuvati na tamnom i hladnom mestu do 12 meseci.


Ingredients: 300 dandelion flowers, 1 L of water, 1 kg of monk fruit sugar (or brown sugar or coconut sugar), 2 large lemons or 3 small ones, for washing the lemons - apple cider vinegar or baking soda.

Preparation:

1. Put the lemon in a bowl, pour water and add 2 tablespoons of vinegar. Let it stand for half an hour and then rinse the lemons.

Or pour 1 teaspoon of baking soda into the bowl. Cover with a plate and leave for half an hour. Drain the water, pour in new water and let it stand for another 15 minutes. Then rinse the lemons.

Cut the lemons into rings and then into smaller slices, in half.

2. Wash and sterilize the jars.

3. Wash the dandelion flowers under running water.

4. Put the colander in the pot and pour in the dandelion flowers. Press the flowers with your hand or a spoon to squeeze out the water.

5. Place dandelion flowers in a bowl, cover with water, cover and leave to stand for 8 hours or overnight at room temperature.

6. Strain through a strainer.

7. Place a colander in the pot, put cheesecloth in the colander and strain once more.

8. Heat the pot with dandelion flowers juice at a medium temperature (4). Add sugar and cook, stirring occasionally, for 1 hour.

9. Add lemons and cook for another hour, stirring occasionally.

10. Use a spoon to pick up the densely accumulated foam and throw it away.

11. Take out the lemon slices.

12. Pour honey into jars.

13. When the honey cools it will thicken.

14. Store in a dark and cool place for up to 12 months.
