Prženice (French toast)

Sastojci: 1 stari hleb (2 dana star), 3 jaja, 100 ml mleka, za prženje - ulje.

Priprema

1. Hleb iseći na parčiće. 

2. Jaja umutiti viljuškom.

3. Do dodati mleko u jaja. 

4. Kriške hleba umočiti jaja sa mlekom.

5. Ulje ugrejati u tiganju na srednjoj (4) ili srednje jakoj vatri (5).

Proveriti da li je ulje dobro zagrejanoj, staviti kapljicu jaja u ulje i ako zacvrci i pocne se prziti, ulje je dobro zagrejano.

6. Pržiti sa obe strane po minut, samo da lepo požute.

7. Staviti u posudu sa ubrusom ili salvetom kako bi upile višak masnoće.

Predlog: 

Za slane - posluzite sa ajvarom, majonezom, vegan majonezomkiselom pavlakom, krem sirom, paštetom ili namazom uz jogurt ili kisele mleko ili kefir ili grcki jogurt.

Za slatke - sa džemom, pekmezom, marmeladon, eurokremom ili cokoladnim eurokremom ili nutelom, medom uz solju mleka.


Ingredients: 1 old bread (2 days old), 3 eggs, 100 ml of milk, for frying - oil.

Preparation

1. Cut the bread into slices.

2. Beat the eggs with a fork.

3. Add the milk to the eggs and stir.

4. Dip slices of bread in eggs with milk.

5. Heat the oil in a pan on medium (4) or medium high heat (5).

Check if the oil is well heated, put a drop of egg in the oil and if it sizzles and starts to fry, the oil is well heated.

6. Fry on both sides for a minute, just until they are nicely yellow.

7. Place in a bowl with a paper towel or napkin to absorb excess fat.

Suggestion:

For salty - serve with ajvar Balkans roasted peppers sauce, mayonnaise, vegan mayonnaisesour cream, cream cheese, pate or spread with buttermilk or sour milk or kefir or Greek yogurt.

For a sweet version - with jam, marmalade, hazelnut cream or chocolate hazelnuts cream or nutella, honey with milk.
