Carigradske oblande (Constantinople wafers)

Sastojci: 6 belanaca, 12 kasika secera u prahu, sok od jednog limuna ili 1 kasicica sirceta, 100g oraha (iseckanih), 100g suvog grozdja, 100g suvih smokvi, 100g zele bombona, 3 kasike meda, 2 oblande.

Priprema:
1) Suvo grozdje potopiti u toplu vodu i ostaviti da nabubri. Ocediti. Suve smokve i zele bombone iseckati. 
2) Penasto umutiti belanca sa secerom u prahu i limunovim sokom (ili sircetom).
3) U serpi na niskoj temperaturi, zagrejati med, dodati umucena belanca i kuvati oko 5 minuta.
4) Dodati suvo grozdje, suve smokve i zele bombone. Promesati i filovati oblande.
5) Pokriti celofanom i staviti teske knjige.

Predlog: od zumanaca mozete napraviti Piskota tortu.

Ingredients: 6 egg whites, 12 tablespoons powdered sugar, juice of one lemon or 1 teaspoon of vinegar, 100g walnuts (chopped), 100g raisins, 100g dried figs, 100g jelly candies, 3 tablespoons honey, 2 wafer sheets.

Preparation:
1) Soak raisins in warm water and leave to swell. Drain. Chop dried figs and jelly candies.
2) Whisk egg whites with powdered sugar until foamy add lemon juice (or vinegar). Mix well until creamy.
3) In the sauce pan, at low temperature, cook honey, add the whipped egg whites and cook, about 5 minutes.
4) Add raisins, dried figs and jelly candies. Stir and fill wafers.
5) Cover with cellophane and put few heavy books.

Suggestion: from egg yolks you can  make Biscuits cake.
